Community Training Opportunities

Elmhouse Training is a private training provider delivering quality training throughout London. Established in 2008, we specialise in Childcare, Teacher assistant, IT, Health & Social care and Sports Apprenticeships and courses. Creating and developing networks and partnerships have been a key part to the success of our students and the organisation as a whole.

Elmhouse Training Ltd also works with larger colleges that want to reach students outside their catchment area, to enable their training to be delivered in communities that they would not usually have access to.

Elmhouse Training has over 20 years of experience in training. We are registered with a variety of awarding bodies and aim to be registered with more as we develop as an organisation.

Coram Children’s Legal Centre’s Child Law Advice Service has launched a new website which helps children and young people find out about their legal rights.

Called www.lawstuff.org.uk and funded by The Queen’s Trust, the website provides information about children’s rights in the following areas:

  • Police and Law
  • Children’s Services
  • Education
  • Not from the UK
  • Home and Family
  • At what age can I?
  • Abuse and bullying
  • Sex health and drugs
  • My rights
  • Online safety

LawStuff.org has been designed to enable visitors to find out their legal rights in a way which is easy to navigate and understand.  For optimum accessibility a pop up glossary has also been added to the website to help explain complex legal terms.

The website also hosts the popular publication At what age can I? Here, young people can find out what activities they can do at certain ages such as, “when can I learn to drive?”, “when can I babysit?” and “when can I leave home?”

Young people who have specific enquiries which are not covered on the site can contact the Child Law Advice Service details of which can be found at www.childlawadvice.org.uk.
