Salary: NJC Scale 6 – points 18 to 20 (£36,345 - £37,437)

Position type: Term-time only (39 weeks per year); 35 hours per week

The Sunshine Centre ASD Resource Base

 

The Sunshine Centre is our specialist resource base focused on delivering a specific educational programme for children identified with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).  The Resource Base has 30 places within our 50/50 provision for children with ASD from Nursery to year 6 and 16 places in our full time specialist classrooms. The Sunshine Centre has a team of experienced professionals that run the provision. 

 

As an Autism Champion, you will work closely with the Base Teachers and the Inclusion Manager. You will also work alongside other professionals such as the Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA); Speech and Language Therapist; Educational Psychologist; School Nursing; Lambeth Autism Advisory Service and Occupational Therapists, as well as the mainstream class teachers, to provide a tailored curriculum to meet the individual needs of all children who access the base.
